Whoopi Goldberg Gets a View of Priscilla's Leading 'Ladies'

Whoopi Goldberg knows her way around a pop song: After all, before becoming a producer of the forthcoming Broadway musical Sister Act, Goldberg was raising her voice as lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier in the film that inspired the show. So it made perfect sense for the Oscar- and Tony-winning View co-host to check out Priscilla Queen of the Desert, which features dance hits from several decades. After smiling throughout the March 18 performance of Priscilla,Goldberg headed backstage at the Palace Theatre to congratulate stars Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams.
